Inspection & Testing

From PAT testing to industrial installation troubleshooting

All work is carried out to the latest British Standards and/or Irish National Rules, as appropriate. All electrical installations should be inspected and tested at regular intervals to ensure they are in a satisfactory condition for continued use. Regular Testing and Inspection will determine if any of the electrical circuits or equipment are electrically or thermally overloaded. Periodic testing will also highlight any potential electric shock risks or fire hazards, identify defective electrical installations, and highlight any deficiency in earthing or bonding.

Tests are also carried out on wiring and fixed electrical equipment to check that they are safe for their intended scope of use. A schedule of circuits is also provided, which is a must-have reference document for any property.

Periodic inspection and testing is carried out by our UK & Ireland registered electricians. They will check the condition of the electrics against the current UK or Irish standard for the safety of electrical installations. After an inspection has been carried out, a report will be issued which will detail any observed damage, deterioration, defects, dangerous conditions and any non-compliance that may lead to potential danger.

The discovery of dangerous or potentially dangerous system will result in the electrical installation being declared ‘unsatisfactory’, meaning that remedial action is required without delay to remove risk to the premises or those using it.
